Peter qualified from St Thomas’, London. He has been a consultant at Bedford hospital since 2008.
He trained in London and Bristol including placement at St Michael’s and Queen Charlotte’s hospital. He is experienced in anaesthesia for a wide variety of procedures. His current interests include prehabilitation, perioperative medicine and rapid recovery after surgery.
He pioneered the enhanced recovery service at Bedford including the use of morphine sparing local anaesthetic techniques. He developed and leads the pre-assessment service enabling a patient centred approach to prehabilitation and perioperative medicine. This ensures patients are optimised before their surgery. This approach reduces postoperative complications and the length of time you will stay in hospital.
He has worked closely with Montasser for ten years to provide a service tailored to the needs of the endometriosis patients in Bedfordshire, the East of England and beyond.
